Established in 1868 we are one of the longest running clubs in Great Britain.
Our club is run entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the continued success of the club.
We welcome participants and encourage healthy lifestyles, provide advice and direction to help our members stay in sport and maintain a lifelong love of swimming and sport.
We encourage our older swimmers to pass on their skills in the pool to up and coming youngsters by becoming helpers and then progressing to a level 1 ASA teaching badge. Our level 2 coaches are the backbone of our programme, they develop the teaching strategy and lesson plans, ensure teaching is to the highest standards and mentor our level 1's and assistants.
Rochdale Swimming Club actively participates in the Central Lancashire ASA Regional Swimming Galas. We actively encourage swimmers to try out for a place to represent the club.
Swimmers must be aged 9 yrs and over to participate in ASA Gala events.
We’re pleased to confirm that Rochdale Swimming Club is reopening on Monday 12th April.
We’re still waiting for confirmation from Swim England on any updated rules but at this point in time, the same rules will apply that were in place prior to the latest lockdown (reminder of the rules below). We will let you know if there are any amendments to the rules:
We will provide updates via this website and also our facebook page.
